Where’s the tech news?

by Rob Williams on September 16, 2011

As you may have noticed I have not updated this space as much as I have in the past. There are several reasons for this, the biggest one of course is the new addition to our family. But there have been other factors as well. I have come to realize in my new role as a father in addition to that of a husband, that there are some bigger issues right now than tech news. I am becoming more concerned with the direction this country is headed in in addition to that of the world as well. These are things that are taking more of my time these days on following. I don’t know what direction this blog is heading toward yet, but I do know I want to be a part of the solution and not sit on the sidelines watching the wheels go round and round. So bear with me as I decide just what to do in the blogging world as it relates to getting involved in creating solutions for our world.

Now you know why I tend to think of watching iOS vs Android vs WinPhone7 about as interesting as watching Coke vs Pepsi vs RC Cola.

Yes, the competition is great. It moves things forward. And the pace of innovation is sometimes mind boggling. But I have a cancer fighting wife and five kidlets to concern myself with. My focus is on my Faith, them, my health, the house with a fair sprinkling of sideline geekery time permitting.

Amazing what one baby girl did to you! ;-] Welcome to fatherhood. Again.
